On-Demand Webinar: Process Safety Testing
for Reactive and Non-Reactive Systems
Discover methods to assess combustibility, flammability, and reactivity hazards across industrial processes.
10:00 AM (EDT) Thursday, September 25, 2025
Industrial processes often present inherent risks of flammability, explosion, and unstable chemical reactions. To manage these hazards, each system and material must be evaluated in its operational context and tested with the correct methods. Selecting the right testing approach not only supports compliance but also strengthens safe and reliable operations.
In this technical webinar, Sigma-HSE experts will review a broad range of process safety testing options. You will learn where each type of testing applies, how results are interpreted to identify hazards, and how test data supports wider safety and risk management frameworks.

What You’ll Learn in the Process Safety Testing Webinar
Dust and Powder Combustibility Testing – methods to measure ignition sensitivity, Kst, and explosibility characteristics.
Electrostatic Testing – techniques to detect static charge accumulation and discharge hazards in powders, liquids, and equipment.
Gas and Vapor Flammability Testing – flammable limit data to support safe handling, ventilation, and storage practices.
Chemical Reaction Hazard (CRH) Testing – identifying runaway reactions, thermal decomposition, and incompatibility risks.
Thermal Stability Testing – assessing safe operating conditions for chemicals under heat or process stress.
Explosives Testing – specialized evaluation methods for high-energy materials with detonation potential.
Who Should Attend the Webinar?
This session is designed for professionals involved in material testing, process development, and safety management where hazardous properties must be assessed and controlled. Attendees may include:
- Process Safety and Risk Engineers
- Chemical Engineers and R&D Scientists
- PSM Coordinators and Compliance Leads
- Laboratory and Testing Managers
